ARTIST NOTES: Born from the trials and hardships of the last 2 years, there is renewed optimism for the year ahead. Inherently, Australians have the "onwards and upwards" mentality, that is part of our iconic framework and keeps us banded together as a nation. Depicting Sydney, we see The Opera House, a Ferris wheel and fireworks which allow us to transport to the joy and fun experienced during the New Years Eve celebration.
My inspiration is deep seated in my love of our country, its people and their fighting spirit. I'm also a very social person and feel the good times should be celebrated, making happy memories.

ARTIST BIO Artist's Bio Vanessa is a Mornington Peninsula based abstract expressionist, who's penchant is  for acrylic painnts on canvas, but also leans towards mixed media with the use of impasto ans collagé. She is a self taught artist who has always had a creative drive, thanking her parents for immersion in many artistic experiences since childhood. Vanessa is a finalist in the Art toArt Unearthed Art Prize 2022. She has also attended the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron Art Show- April. 2022 and the Somers Art Show- February 2022.
