My art career began at teachers college and RMIT with the completion of an Associate Diploma of Fine Art with a major in ceramics. As a potter, I have established studios in a number of locations in the city and Mornington Peninsula with one major exhibition in my early career. The majority of my teaching career to both students and adults has centered upon ceramics and general art. As an Art Consultant with the Department of Education, I was responsible for assisting teachers in schools with their art curriculum as well as organizing professional development and exhibitions in regional areas. My later career in art has continued with ceramics at my Somers Studio and complementing this with painting of the surrounding landscapes of the Peninsula.
