Hello, I am Erkin Yilmaz, a painter based in Ankara -Turkey.
The world we live in is magnificent and we witness its different beauties every day. These beauties have attracted my attention since childhood. While I was working as a civil servant for many years, I always wanted to paint these beauties, it was always on my mind.
After finishing my civil service, I initially intended to paint as a hobby and to realize my dream that has been going on since my childhood. Since I have a character who tries to do every job in the most perfect way, I started by strengthening my infrastructure in order to be able to paint professionally. I attended many art workshops (about two years) and took drawing, watercolor, oil painting and marbling courses and certificates. Painting has become a passion for me as I progressed.
I consider myself as an emerging artist. Painting with watercolor attracts me a little more than other mediums. I love to paint nature, boats and sea as themes in my paintings. I love painting objects as we see them in nature. For this reason, I paint my paintings in a realistic and impressionistic style. I want to present and sell my affectionate paintings to dear art lovers.
